After actual measurement, the consumption of one kilogram of stainless steel shot is equivalent to the consumption of 3-4 kg of ordinary steel shot, and 17 kg of corundum. If compared with glass beads, one kilogram of steel shot equivalent to the consumption of 100 kg of glass beads, or 3 kg of aluminum and zinc shot.
Stainless steel shots are widely used in surface treatment and decoration of non-ferrous metals. Compared with aluminum shot, the density of stainless steel shot is twice as much, so even if the shot blasting speed is reduced, it can achieve a good cleaning effect, making the metal surface smooth and matte. Stainless steel shot will not produce pollution, and its service life is much longer than that of aluminum shot.
During actual use, stainless steel shot consumes less than corundum, glass beads, ordinary steel shot, aluminum shot and zinc shot, and produces the least waste. In addition, the transportation cost and processing cost of the shot are also the lowest, and the amount of workpiece cleaning is also reduced. From the perspective of comprehensive cost, the cost performance of stainless steel shot is the highest.
